Basics - The Framework
Step-by-step Roadmap

Step 1 - Check the Business Driver(s)
Without clearly identifying what drives Line Management to deploy workers across borders, it's impossible to deliver meaningful value to the organization. In fact, this critical blind spot can potentially jeopardize the entire assignment.
The essential first step in this roadmap is to identify the underlying Business driver(s) that determine the conditions of the assignment and influence the selection of candidates for the job.

Step 2 - Check the HR Driver(s)
Forward-thinking companies recognize that modernizing their approach to cross-border workforce deployment is no longer optional but a competitive necessity in the global marketplace. In this approach, stakeholders interests are aligned and secured in a solid strategic framework.
When building this solid framework, it is paramount to not only focus on the Business objectives, but also on HR objectives.

Step 3 - Select the Mobility Scenario and define the Profile
Once the parameters for the employee's move are clearly defined and validated, the next step is to select the most suitable scenario based on the specific requirements.
Mobility can take various forms, ranging from short-term and long-term assignments to permanent transfers, indefinite postings, virtual assignments and remote working options.
In this step of the roadmap, you will assess which Scenario fits the objectives of the key stakeholders and define the Profile of the employee.

Step 4 - Setting up the Compliance File
A critical component of establishing the GM Framework is the documentation and organization of essential elements within a Compliance File, which serves as a comprehensive record of all pertinent factors. This documentation is not static; The file should be regularly updated to reflect any changes in circumstances that could affect the compliance regime.
